Background
Mubarak Complex College (MCC) is a reputable tertiary institution based in Zomba, Malawi, established with the mission of empowering communities through accessible, high-quality education. The college is owned and operated by Munazzamat Dawa Islamia (MDI), a faith-based organization committed to the promotion of education and community development.
History
MCC was founded in 2007 as a Women’s Development Centre with support from the British High Commissioner to Malawi, His Excellency Mr. Richard Wildash. The initial aim was to provide skills training and development opportunities for women in underserved communities. Due to increasing demand and impact, the institution transitioned into a fully-fledged tertiary college in 2009, expanding its scope to include a variety of professional and academic qualifications.
Accreditation and Registration
Mubarak Complex College is registered with the Government of Malawi through the Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TEVETA). It is also accredited by several internationally recognized examining boards, including:
Advanced Business Education (ABE)
Association of Business Managers and Administrators (ABMA)
American Institute of Extended Studies (AIES)
Business Management Education Center (BMEC)
Islamic and Community Services
In addition to academic programmes, the college offers Islamic education to Muslim students in subjects such as Arabic Reading and Writing, Aqeedatul Islamiyya, Tafsir, and Fiqh, and engages in regular Da’wah activities within the community.
